Happy New Year!

Hello beautiful people,

I would like to share with you guys what I did for New Years!. OK first of all, I am usually the quiet kind who sleeps at around 10.30 PM on Dec 31st night, while everyone else are probably getting ready to go out. So anything other than that is definitely exciting for me 🙂

On Dec 31st night, I suggested we (me and my hubby) go to Al Qasba, Sharjah and watch the fireworks. Al Qasba is a gorgeous place. It’s so romantic!. Here is an example of how fireworks light up the sky above Al Qasba on a festive event. I didn’t click a pic yesterday. This is from Google. We were standing right on that bridge and watching it with hundreds of other people.

We then walked about that place hand in hand, bought icecream from London Dairy, bought some sandwiches and headed home. It might sound simple to some (who love to party) but for me, it really couldn’t get better than that. I loved the start of the new year!

Then today, we went on an 8 hours drive to the Northern Emirates of UAE. When my husband suggested yesterday that we go on this trip, I was like “WHAAAT”!. I was so excited, I could barely sleep. We covered Ras Al Khaimah, Dibbah, Khor Fakkan, Fujairah and Kalbah. Those regions are mountainous. Here are some pix I clicked :

Hope you enjoyed seeing more of UAE, along with me, through these pics :).

Stepping into the new year, I feel lucky, hopeful and happy. Masha Allah!. I hope you too had a great start to 2014. If you didn’t, don’t worry about it. Everything will be OK. Stay hopeful and positive!

In the upcoming year, I plan to post more awesome posts ( 😀 ). Stay tuned. Also my New Year giveaways have ended. Winners will be announced on 3rd Jan, ’14.

  1. What a lovely way to spend New Year’s eve!!! I think these are the things that matter in life. The parties can be done anywhere at any time. But watching the fireworks, hand in hand at the bridge with so many other people, the ice cream and sandwiches. Wow!!! That’s beautiful. And the road trip sounds amazing, I don’t do well on journeys because I am always falling ill lol but I always always dream of having the kind of health to travel and drive around. What a beautiful way to start the year and hope to read many more of your lovely posts, even travel posts because these pics are so amazing. Happy New year 🙂

    • Oh Praseena!. Happy New Year :). Thank you for your long comment. It really touches me that you take the time to comment with so much detail. I just adore it about you. Yes, I cherished the start of this new year more than any other I should say. You and I appreciate the same things in life, I guess!. I really hope you can travel long distance without getting sick in future. Is it a vomiting problem that you got?. My sis in law has that trouble. If I do travel more in 2014 (which I would LOVE to), I will post pix :). Love you, girl!. You are awesome!

  2. Travelling is one thing I love soooo much! I can just go on and on…especially in India, I just want to be in the window seat and left alone to drool over the beautiful sceneries outside!!
Masha Allah….you and your hubby are really romantic…
I look forward to your new posts eagerly!!

    • Thanks, Abi!. Window seat is my favorite too. Even on the plane, I sit and watch the clouds and lights below, from that seat ♡.. Thanks so much for being a true follower/friend. I will look forward to your posts too!

  3. UAE looks soooo lovely!!! Gosh!! I wish we could see more of the blue sky over here. We are just used to seeing clouds over us, how depressing lol. Hope you are keeping well!

    • Thank you for commenting, Deena!.. UAE is indeed beautiful and I love it here. Some day I wish I could visit UK. For a change, clouds would be awesome. Wanna see snow too ♡
