Review : Dermal Collagen Essence Sheet Masks (2 variants)!

Hey guys,

Recently Skin18 sent me two Dermal Collagen Essence sheet masks, as part of their ongoing Reviewer Programme (which you can join too, even if you are a newbie blogger (Minimum requirement : 500 followers), by clicking here).

The ones I got were a) Pearl & b) Royal Jelly. These sheet type essence masks offer your skin direct nutrition & is of high quality. They are easy to use and fuss free. Both of these give a snug fit on the face.

The masks are brimming with essence. I found most essence on the mask itself and next to nil dripped inside the pack in the case of the Royal Jelly mask. However, the Pearl one had a more runny type of essence and there was plenty inside the pack, which I took in my hand and massaged into my face.

Both masks have a light, pleasant scent and is cool to touch and non oily. It says here on the pack that it should be applied on cleansed skin.

In detail :

Pearl Mask – This one contains 0.02% Pearl powder, which is supposed to keep the skin fresh, moisturized & bright. It also has 0.2% Hydrolyzed Collagen, among other ingredients. Volume : 23 gms

Dermal essence sheet mask

Royal Jelly Mask – This one contains 1% Royal Jelly extract, which is a complex of various kinds of microelements such as protein, fat, carbohydrate, water etc & supposed to help troubled & tired skin, keeping it soft & healthy. It also has 0.2% Hydrolyzed Collagen, among other ingredients. Volume : 23 gms

Dermal essence sheet mask

I left it on for 20 mins. The Pearl one felt brightening and moisturising while the Royal Jelly one left my skin feeling hydrated and nourished.

I do recommend you try these masks. The only problem I found with it is that both has parabens in them.

Five Tips to a Quick Morning Haircare Routine!

Getting ready in the morning can feel like a chore, especially if you did not have enough sleep the night before. The last thing that you want to do in the morning when you are still sleepy is take time on doing your hair before you head out the door to work. This article will provide some great tips to completing a quick morning hair care routine that will leave your hair looking gorgeous all day long.

Determine your hair type. Is your hair dry, brittle, oily, or normal? If you have oily skin and tend to have an oily scalp by mid-day, leaving your tresses looking limp and tired, you will want to invest in a great shampoo formulated specifically for oily hair. Use a hair dryer and round brush. The mornings tend to be hectic and styling your hair is not something that you want to take a great deal of time to complete. By drying your hair with a hair dryer and using a round brush at the same time, you can eliminate a step and save time. Instead of drying your hair and then using a curling iron or flat iron to complete your look, use a round brush to smooth out your locks and add a slight curl at the bottom. It will take some time to learn this technique but once you get it perfected, you will not fret about doing your hair in the morning anymore.

Spray with product. After you have dried and round brushed your hair, you can now apply a styling product that will hold the look all day. Spritz on a light layer of hairspray or add some nice smelling fragrance by spritzing yourself with a perfumed spray.

This mask is simple to prepare. All you have to do is combine all the ingredients. Apply all over the face avoiding the eye area. You can also use the mask on the neck area. Wait for 15-20 minutes so that it completely cools down and hardens up. Then take a soft cloth dipped in warm water and gently rub it on your face. This mask is my personal favorite, and I keep making additions to it according to my time and convenience.

Honey Mask

Honey is one such ingredient which works wonders for your skin. It is the best when used raw, and it is rather a natural moisturizer. There are so many properties that honey has. It is even preventive against any microbial infections and is great for acne. Skin looks much younger and better when you make use of honey regularly as your body gets high in antioxidants.

Ingredients needed for the honey mask:

Just 1 tbsp of raw honey

Preparation and Application

All you have to do is put a generous amount of honey to your face. Your eye area has to be avoided, that goes without saying.

Let it be for 10 minutes or so, and then it can easily be washed off with a little lukewarm water.

Oat Mask

Oats are a staple diet for breakfast but more than that, they also are an excellent ingredient for face masks. There are some minerals and vitamins that are found in this breakfast cereal.

Oats work very well for any skin, whether itchy, dry, or even if it gets irritated from some irritant. Acne breakouts are best avoided with the help pf oats and powdered oats that are readily available in the market form a great exfoliating mask and scrub that can make your dead skin and all your sin troubles vanish.

Ingredients for the mask

Powdered Oats- 1 tbsp
Raw honey– 1 tbsp

Preparation and Application

All you have to do is combine both raw honey and powdered oats so that it becomes a paste. Apply this paste to your face and the neck area as well. Let it be for 10 minutes or so before rinsing it with warm water, and you can pat dry your face with a clean towel after all of these packs.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is tree bark, but it has more than one benefit. There are just so many pluses of this wonder ingredient that one may not be able to list them all out. Cinnamon and honey make for the best DIY facial mask, and it also happens to be the easiest. Another one of my personal favorites.

Ingredients

Cinnamon– a pinch
Honey- 1 tablespoon

Preparation and application

It is as simple as mixing the honey and cinnamon together and then applying it all over your face. It is great to use as an antibacterial pack and also to de-tan the face.

These are all some of the basic recipes. However, you can always be experimental and try out something of your own, just like I do, so many times. The homemade masks are a great and cheap way for you to get the clear and healthy skin that you have always wanted.
