Maintaining a strong South African influence, the restaurant features large willow suspended rafts, which are inspired by unique South African textiles, while the perimeter wall sees rammed, earth green plaster combined with the curved oxide metal louvered screen adding a warm, natural texture to the space. The signature open kitchen and grill allows customers seated nearby to watch as the grillers prepare sizzling butterfly-cut halal chicken pieces, fresh crispy salads, perfectly seasoned fries, and of course delicious kiddies’ meals, ready to satisfy the whole family!

About Nando’s

Nando’s has very humble beginnings, with the founders, Fernando Duarte and Robbie Brozin, having discovered the tantalizing Portuguese flavours of flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken in a tiny town in Johannesburg, South Africa. They were smitten and decided to buy the small restaurant and turn it into one of the world’s leading, emerging fast casual family-friendly restaurants.

The Nando’s brand entered the UAE in 2002 and now offers the tastiest chicken in the UAE at a host of outlets in a variety of locations including, Sheikh Zayed Road, Greens, Al Ghurair Centre, The Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina, Novotel Suites – Al Barsha, Dubai Internet City, Dubai Arabian Centre, The Residences – Downtown Burj Khalifa, Mirdif City Centre, Al Ain Mall, Al Qasba – Sharjah, Abu Dhabi World Trade Center, Al Zeina – Al Raha Beach and Ras Al Khaima (opening soon).

Look for the welcoming Barcelos Cockerel – It’s the sign of the unique flavour of warm, Afro-Portuguese hospitality! Visit www.nandos.ae or www.facebook.com/nandosuae to discover more.

Happy New Year!

Hello beautiful people,

!!HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

IMG-20140101-WA0000

I would like to share with you guys what I did for New Years!. OK first of all, I am usually the quiet kind who sleeps at around 10.30 PM on Dec 31st night, while everyone else are probably getting ready to go out. So anything other than that is definitely exciting for me 🙂

On Dec 31st night, I suggested we (me and my hubby) go to Al Qasba, Sharjah and watch the fireworks. Al Qasba is a gorgeous place. It’s so romantic!. Here is an example of how fireworks light up the sky above Al Qasba on a festive event. I didn’t click a pic yesterday. This is from Google. We were standing right on that bridge and watching it with hundreds of other people.

We then walked about that place hand in hand, bought icecream from London Dairy, bought some sandwiches and headed home. It might sound simple to some (who love to party) but for me, it really couldn’t get better than that. I loved the start of the new year!

Then today, we went on an 8 hours drive to the Northern Emirates of UAE. When my husband suggested yesterday that we go on this trip, I was like “WHAAAT”!. I was so excited, I could barely sleep. We covered Ras Al Khaimah, Dibbah, Khor Fakkan, Fujairah and Kalbah. Those regions are mountainous. Here are some pix I clicked :

Hope you enjoyed seeing more of UAE, along with me, through these pics :).

Stepping into the new year, I feel lucky, hopeful and happy. Masha Allah!. I hope you too had a great start to 2014. If you didn’t, don’t worry about it. Everything will be OK. Stay hopeful and positive!

In the upcoming year, I plan to post more awesome posts ( 😀 ). Stay tuned. Also my New Year giveaways have ended. Winners will be announced on 3rd Jan, ’14.

Love,

Naz 🙂
