September 2014 Link Loves!

Hiya guys!

How was your September?. Mine was pretty hectic I should say. Preparing to go to India, blogging day and night to schedule posts ahead of time.. Man!. I dunno how I did it :P. It was my husband’s birthday on the 21st and my family came over to celebrate it together. They brought a gorgeous cake too :). It was the Praline Berry Splendor ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. Yum!

My husband won a cricket tournament and brought home a massive trophy. I just had to share it with you guys. I am way too proud of him right now ♥. Also, kudos to his team for being awesome!

I became extremely happy when a friend of mine who doesn’t follow a skincare routine, decided to get all the basics to start a routine, after reading my skincare basics post. It’s so delightful to be able to inspire someone to take action! She shared a picture of the products she got and I am so thankful to her for sending it my way:

She bought herself:

  • An Olay offer pack, containing  day cream, a night cream and  face wash, costing AED30
  • Olay Regenerist Pro X skincare tool, costing AED137

All of these were purchased from Carrefour, Sharjah City Center.

Alright, on to my favorites this month:

I have no experience working on Blogger but I have enough and more friends who complain about it. I personally love WordPress so much. It’s so user-friendly. If you are considering whether to move to Wordpress or not, I say, go ahead!. Please do and also check out this awesome post by beautiful Megan..

The Super Sweet Blogger Award!

Hello guys!

It’s been a while since I wrote anything. There has been so much happening. I was down with chicken pox and recently, there was Eid which is an amazing Islamic festival. Anyways, am back now 🙂

I am super excited to be awarded The Super Sweet Blogger Award by Lottie of Book Adoration. Awww, can you guys believe that!. I am so happy. Here is the pretty award:

super-sweet-blogger-awardIt really warms my heart that I am considered super sweet. It’s truly nice of Lottie to nominate me for this award. I will be answering the same set of questions that Lottie answered while accepting this award. So here goes :

Questions:

1. Cookies or Cake? Both? : Definitely cookies! I have never made them myself but I love having white chocolate cookies with Macadamia nuts in it.  When it comes to cakes, well, I do love icecream cakes from Baskin Robbins. They are so yum…

65

2.Chocolate or Vanilla?: Vanilla!. I like chocolate itself but when it comes to chocolate flavored things, I tend to stay away from them!. Vanilla has a nice scent and also tastes great. So, Vanilla it is!

Philadelphia vanilla ice cream

3.Favorite Sweet Treat?: Tough question!.. My favorite right now is Dark Fantasy cream biscuits and chocofils. I love them. Quite unfortunate that it’s not available here in UAE. When anyone asks me what I want from India, I name this!

Dark3

4.When Do You Crave Sweet Things The Most?: When I feel sad or low, I crave sweet things the most. I am a comfort eater 🙁

comfort-donut

5.Sweet Nick Name?: Some call me Nazi or Nazu. I think that’s sweet, though I definitely love my nickname Neenz, which most of my friends refer to me as :). But more than sweet, I think Neenz is a pretty stylish name 😛
