Review : Nerium Age-Defying Day & Night creams!

Hey guys,

Nerium International is a US based brand that has developed several products from Nerium Oleander, a plant that is toxic in all parts!. Nerium is probably the most poisonous garden plants. But through years of research, it was found that this plant has super antioxidant / antiaging properties and Nerium International developed their products in such a way that they are highly effective while being completely safe.

Nerium day and night creams

Ofcourse, after learning about it, I was a bit scared to try it out. Lol!. I did a patch test, as a precaution. When all was well, I went ahead and tried out Nerium’s day and night creams. Both products are powered by their proprietary NAE-8 extract, which helps:

● Address both the signs of aging as well as the causes.
● Acts as a powerful antioxidant and works to inhibit free radical damage.
● Boosts the cell renewal process to reveal younger-looking skin &
● Targets the causes of skin-damaging inflammation.

Nerium night cream

The night cream is yellow in color, has a serum like texture and feels mask like on application. It leaves the skin looking dewy. It has a strong smell that I am not really fond of. I can’t really compare it to any other smell, so that I can tell you ‘It smells like such & such thing’. Anyways, thankfully the smell fades after a while. For better absorption, the brand advises to apply it on damp skin. Within minutes of application, you will feel a tightness and a slight warm feeling. In the morning, I just wash my face and follow up with the day cream.

Nerium day cream

The day cream is so different from the night one!. Usually products like these, that complement each other, are visually similar. The day cream though, is white in color, so hydrating that it blends with the skin as soon as it’s applied, has a light weight formula and is non greasy. It has a pleasant scent.

Both these products are par excellence and one of the best product combos that I have ever tried out. The results are really noticeable. I have much more radiant skin and look super youthful. Lol, my cousin asked me how am I growing younger!.

At any given time, I am trying multiple skincare products, being a beauty blogger. However, I always give due time to see the results of every single product. I have used these two creams for about a month now and I swear by it’s effects on my skin. I love it.

The bottles look expensive and pretty. It has a nozzle that can be pressed down to dispense adequate amount of product. The day one is white while the night one is a dark grey color. Each bottle contains 30 ml.

Price : $190 (Approx AED 697.87) for the combo if you want to buy both.

Bonus: Nerium Age Defying Eye Serum review

Two sample sachets, each containing 0.3ml, of Nerium’s Age Defying Eye Serum were included in the pack that I received. The formula is so advanced that it gets to work within 5 mins of application, masking wrinkles and fine lines. One sachet has enough in it for a single application around both eyes.

Nerium eye serum

Since I don’t have enough lines around my eyes to do a ‘Before & After’, I decided to try it on my mom who is 50+. The results were pretty dramatic. Where this serum was applied, it had a blurring effect. You can see it for yourself in these two pix of her left and right eyes. The fine lines all went away.

Nerium before and after

Nerium before and after

The amazing thing is, I tried it on her about 3 weeks back and still there is a noticeable difference. Long term usage of this serum is said to ward off future wrinkles and lines. I think it’s phenomenal!

The serum is white in color, has a runny consistency that’s easily absorbed by the skin. Definitely amazing!.

Price : $80 (Approx AED 293.83) for a 10 ml bottle

iHerb Haul #11 – Skincare, hair care products & more!

Hey guys,

Here is yet another iHerb haul. This one is actually from Sep 2016, but I took time to try out everything to give a thorough review for you guys.

This haul focuses on skincare, health and haircare products.

iHerb haul

The Toner by Jeffrey James Botanicals – I decided to try this brand because it has so many rave reviews. I have used a DIY ACV toner for a really long time & pretty much don’t experiment with toners. But decided to give this one a try.

The Toner

It contains Vitamin C, Colloidal Silver & Camu Camu berry. It helps the skin fight against free radicals, restores balance to the skin, is antioxidant rich & firms and brightens.

It has a really lovely, refreshing scent of roses. It can be used in two ways –

○ as a toner – just spray 2 to 3 pumps onto a cotton pad and wipe away the day’s impurities from your skin. No need to wash it off.

○ as a mist – just spritz it directly onto your face and neck for a refreshing feeling. Leave it as it is, without wiping off.

It comes in a spray bottle. I definitely recommend it.

Price : $16.80 (Approx AED 61.70) for a 118 ml glass bottle. Currently though, at the time of writing this post, this product’s price has been increased to $19.20 (Approx AED 70.52), which is still 20% lower than how much you get it for, normally.

The Serum by Jeffrey James Botanicals – This is a deeply hydrating serum with over 50% Hyaluronic acid in it. It’s definitely a great serum and does what it says. It also contains Vitamin C & Green Tea.

The Serum

It has a slightly runny consistency, perfect for a smooth application. It is transparent and comes in a bottle fitted with a nozzle, which is very convenient.

Price : $30.80 (Approx AED 113.13) for a 59 ml glass bottle. However, it’s current price is $35.20 (Approx AED 129.29) & still, 20% lower than it’s regular price.

While Jeffrey James brand is definitely on the higher price range, it is of high quality and not just that, it is also crueltyfree, paraben free, sulphate free & gluten free. Both products mentioned above are good for all skin types.

Bee Propolis Trio supplement by NaturaNectar – This is a supplement that gives overall health, immune support, improves respiratory system and much more. It says ‘Trio’ because it’s a combination of three types of Premium Brazilian Bee Propolis – Brown (85%), Green (10%) & Red (5%).

Bee Propolis

I bought this for my mom and she took 1 capsule per day. She has felt a burst of energy and also her constant cough went down. She recommends it a lot.

Price : $24.74 (Approx AED 90.87) for 60 veggie capsules (2 month supply). But, since it was one of the Brands of the Week, I got a 20% discount and thus paid only $19.79 (Approx AED 72.69) for it.

Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask – I generally love glycolic masks because they always brighten up the skin by gently dissolving and sweeping away dull, dry surface cells, exfoliating and resurfacing for an even tone, smooth texture, and a luminous complexion.

Glycolic mask

This one in particular, doesn’t disappoint at all. It contains Manuka honey & organic pumpkin. It’s a really lovely mask. It can be applied on dry or damp skin, but I prefer applying on damp skin since it feels less abrasive and more comfortable that way.

Price : $12.71 (Approx AED 46.68) for a 50 gms tub

This mask, just like any other Andalou Naturals products, is vegan, crueltyfree and gluten free.

Boar bristle brush for fine hair by Bass Brushes – This is a much hyped about product. Finally, I decided to try it too when I saw one that is specifically made for my hair type (fine). You have got to experience it!. It’s amazing. Here is a before and after pic :

hair transformation

Definitely not one of my best pics. But, to be honest, I clicked it to show a friend and not for the blog.

It smoothes the hair and gives it a very natural shine. It also works out tangles. The handle is made of pure bamboo. It can be used even on wet hair!. This hair brush is gentle enough to be used as a baby brush too. Such a lovely product and it’s quality is awesome for the price it’s offered at.

Boar bristle brush

Price : $10.20 (Approx AED 37.46). Currently though, it’s price has been reduced to $9.89 (Approx AED 36.33).

Cedarwood essential oil by Now Foods – I bought this because Cedarwood oil helps massively in hair loss. In fact, it’s a product that’s recommended for alopecia patients. It’s my first time trying an essential oil and having heard of how potent it could be, I was sceptical. However, after much researching, I understood that this one can be used neat (directly). So, I have been using 2 – 3 drops directly to spots that needs more hair or by mixing it with hair oils. There is definitely a difference, though it’s not magical.

Cedarwood essential oil

If you are planning to buy this one, I suggest you check out the ‘Atlas Cedarwood oil’ like this one, because apparently that’s the one that’s used more in hair treatments. The one that I bought is extracted from the bark of a Juniper tree and not from a true Cedar it seems!. Bummer. But it does work. Also, since this oil has antiseptic properties, I use couple of drops of it in my foot soak.

Price : $4.57 (Approx AED 16.79) for a 30 ml bottle. Currently, it’s price has been reduced to $4.04 (Approx AED 14.84).

Replenish & Repair oil by The Jane Carter Solution – This hair oil contains Maracuja oil, Coconut oil & Sunflower oil. It is a light yellow colored, lightweight oil, with a subtle, pleasant scent.

Jane Carter hair oil

This is a vegan & crueltyfree haircare brand.

Price : $10.80 (Approx AED 39.67) for a 177 ml bottle.

Hyaluronic Acid serum by Reviva Labs – This is hands down one of the BEST serums out there. I saw a massive change within a couple of uses itself. My skin is plumped, very much more hydrated and supple. Absolutely love it and I can’t recommend it enough!

Hyaluronic acid serum

It’s transparent and has a slightly runny consistency. My skin seems to just drink up this product. In the first pic, you can see that I have bought two bottles. One was for my sil and she has had a very similar experience too.

Reviva Labs serum

It says here, on the bottle, that it contains ‘professional strength’ hyaluronic acid, however, the exact value is not written anywhere. Reviva Labs is a fantastic brand, that’s much raved about. I am glad I tried this product. It’s like a Holy Grail product ♡

It can be used alone for a hydration boost or under a cream. I use it at night, below my skincare oil and follow it up with my night cream. It comes in a glass bottle, with a pump.

Price : $14.31 (Approx AED 52.56) for a bottle containing 29.5 ml. Since I bought two, I got a 5% ‘Quantity discount’. Thus my total was $27.19 (Approx AED 99.87). Currently though, this product’s price has been reduced to $11.37 (Approx AED 41.76) per bottle.

Lift & Firm cream by Andalou Naturals – This is a repeat purchase for my brother. I think it’s his third tub. He swears by it and says no other cream has worked this well at moisturizing his skin.

Andalou Naturals

Price : $21.21 (Approx AED 77.90) for a 50 ml tub.

Shipment & Loyalty credit

Shipment was via DHL & it cost $8.86 (Approx AED 32.54) this time. It was shipped the very next day from US and reached me in UAE in 3 days. Love their fast shipping.

iHerb was giving back a loyalty credit of 10% of the bill total, back in 2016 (Currently, it’s 5%). So, I ended up getting $15.41 which could be used towards my next order, if placed within 2 months. Awesome savings!.

iHerb has made many changes to their site in 2017. That’s why they have reduced the prices of over 20000 products and increased the prices of a few products. Also, they have introduced ‘Shipping Savers’, which are products that can be added into your cart to help lower your shipping charges. To check the list of those products, click here.

Let me know if you need product suggestions etc while shopping at iHerb. I love to help out.♡

Guest post : An Essential Oils Guide for Beginners!

Over the years, essential oils have been gaining more and more attention and it’s because of the benefits that it gives. Many people could tell that essential oils make them feel better. They have the ability to relieve several symptoms such as anxiety, stress, headache, and many others. And because of that, a lot of people are considering them as their natural relief for respective symptoms.

What are essential oils?

An essential oil is a natural oil which is a product of the process known as distillation. It is famous for the smell and aroma that it provides and this aroma has a lot to offer—including relief for specific symptoms and conditions. From dietary to cosmetic aspects, an essential oil offers a variety of benefits.

How is it produced?

Basically, an essential is extracted not only through distillation but as well as cold pressing and rein tapping. How to Use Essential Oils There are a lot of ways to make use of essential oils and these include the following:

1. Aromatic

Essential oils are powerful that even if you just sniff them, you will experience physiologic, emotional, and psychological responses. It’s because they are quickly absorbed by the smell receptors which are directly connected to the limbic system. As you may know, the limbic system is crucial to supporting various functions of the body such as smelling, feeling different emotions, behaving, and thinking. Because of this, it is no surprise how essential oils can do wonders to the body’s system.

Essential oils simply uplift you and if you feel somewhat stressed-out over the daily hassles and pressures in life, just the smell of their aroma can make a difference. Other effects of essential oils include calming sensation.

If you are using essential oils aromatically, you do not need diffuser devices. All you need to do is to pour a few drops of essential oil in the palm of your hand, cup it around your nose, breathe deeply, and enjoy its relaxing scent.

You can also perform a different method. Example, you can apply an oil to a cotton ball and place in the air vents of your car. You can also combine your oils and place the combination in a spray bottle with water, then mist it on your carpet, furniture, or bedsheets. Or, you can also add an oil if you are washing your sheets. Other people use an essential oil in household surface cleaners, too.

2. Topical

Topical application, otherwise known as skin application, is one of the effective methods when using essential oils. It’s because they have low molecular weights and they easily come through the skin. When the essential oils are absorbed, they remain in the applied area where they provide therapeutic and medicinal benefits.

One of the efficient ways to easily absorb the essential oils to the skin is to perform a light massage to the area. This will increase the blood flow, therefore, the distribution throughout the body is well-improved. The absorption is also much better if you opt for a carrier oil, especially when the skin it’s being applied to is dry or flaky.

To avoid skin sensitivity, you should use a carrier oil like Fractionated Coconut Oil. This kind of oil dilutes more potent oils. Recommended dilution ratio should be one drop of essential oil to at least three drops of carrier oil.

Parts of the body where you can apply essential oils are arms, legs, the bottom of the feet, chest, abdomen, neck, forehead, and temples.

3. Internal

Essential oils can also be used internally as they are also considered as best dietary supplements. An example of this is using a sprinkle of cinnamon on your oatmeal. You will see how tasteful it is when there’s cinnamon. Another example is sipping a mug of peppermint tea or adding fresh basil leaves to your pasta. See, there are a lot of uses of essential oils and all you need to do is to just discover them.

Adding essential oils to your diet gives you a lot of health benefits. Not only that. It also adds flavouring and aroma to the food. And when they are in their concentrated forms, they can also be used as supplements to relieve specific symptoms. Rest assured that they are safe and very effective to use.

Benefits of Essential Oils

Some of the benefits of essential oils include relief of the following symptoms: · Asthma · Acne · Colds · Dry skin · Flu · Flatulence · Loss of appetite · Anxiety · Fatigue · Gout · Stress · Stretch marks · Scars · Depression · Emotional imbalance · Allergies · Arthritis · Insomnia

Conclusion

Now that you learn about the wonders and benefits of essential oils, you might be thinking about buying ones for yourself. Essential oils can be bought online or you can also visit your favourite stores near you.

Review : Eskinol Classic Facial Cleanser!

Hey guys,

I’ve been using Eskinol’s Classic Facial cleanser for about 2 months now. It’s a no nonsense cleanser that does it’s work well. It looks just like water. It comes in an oval shaped, squeezable plastic bottle.

Eskinol facial cleanser

To use, simply moisten a cotton pad with the product and use on the face in a sweeping motion. Then wash face. It says on the bottle that it can be used on arms and legs, even though I haven’t tried that. It has a pleasant scent and leaves an airy (or menthol like) feeling on the skin, thanks to the ethanol content in it.

I started using this some months after purchasing it. By then I had forgotten what’s written on the bottle and so used it on my eyes too, to taken off last traces of eyeliner, if any. But probably about a month later, I read the info on the bottle & was surprised to see that it said that the product shouldn’t be brought close to the eye area. OMG LOL!. So far, nothing has happened. Maybe it’s too harsh for that area & that’s why they said so. So, I advise you to not risk it by using on the eye area.

It removes all traces of dirt and impurities, thus revealing radiant, velvety soft skin. It’s noticeable even from the very first use. Definitely give it a try.

Price : Rs 165 (Approx AED 8.89) for a 225 ml bottle.

This product is made in Philippines but imported to India, from where I bought it. I have a feeling I’ve seen this in Carrefour. So, just check out it’s availability there.

Review : March 2016 Glambox!

Holla!

March’s Glambox was pretty special and something I looked forward to, since it was an Avene exclusive box. Avene is a very popular French skincare brand. The box contained 4 products :

Avene

Avene

The box specifically contained products from Avene’s Eau Thermale range, which contains Spring water. First time trying these out 🙂

Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Gel – This is a thick gel cleanser. It came in a full sized 200 ml bottle. Gel cleansers are generally for oily skin types while mine is normal/dry skin. I passed this on to my father and he said it’s a fantastic product. During that time he was on the search for a good cleanser that would keep his oily skin in check and to this day he says he hasn’t found a better product than this one.

Cleanance gel

Eau Thermale Avene Spring Water Spray – This is such a wonderful, soothing spray. It is multipurpose. I use it mainly to soothe my skin when it gets too hot. It is gentle enough to be used on nappy rashes too. It came in a 50 ml bottle. I have popped it into my vanity bag coz it’s size is definitely travel friendly. To use, hold it at an arm’s length away and spray. It’s nozzle is really fine and thus the spray is almost like a mist, so gentle and soothing. Spring water has many benefits for the skin. It has a healing touch.

Spring water

Very High Protection Emulsion SPF50+ – Indian skin (the type that gets easily tanned) needs high protection sunscreens. I always use the ones that’s atleast above SPF 45. So, finding a full sized (50 ml) sunscreen in the box was a win for me. This one is an emulsion. So it has a lotion like consistency. There is a slight bluish tint on application. I quite love this product. It comes in a tube with a pump!. Ah, I love any product with a pump packaging – hygienic and convenient ♡

SPF 50 sunscreen

Very High Protection Tinted Cream SPF50+ – This sunscreen has a touch of foundation in it. It has a thicker consistency when compared to the emulsion. Love that it combines skincare & makeup ♡. This one is sample sized and came in a little tube containing 5 ml.

fotor_148088034452362

Voucher

Avene cold cream

The box contained a voucher to claim an Avene cold cream hand cream from Boots, which I unfortunately couldn’t claim. Otherwise, I would have included that review too here.

Overall, March’s was a great box ♥. I know this review is super late, but I was busy being a mom.. 😀

Clinique Beauty Haul!

Hey guys,

This haul is from a while back but I thought I would share my very first Clinique mini haul with you.

Clinique haul

I had run out of an eye cream and that’s when I came across Clinique’s All About Eyes. It’s a light weight eye cream that borders on being a gel/lotion, since it isn’t that thick. It gets easily absorbed, has a velvety texture and leaves the eye area nourished. Even though I take only three tiny dots for each eye, I feel like this little tub won’t last me long. It’s supposed to help with redness, puffiness, fine lines, dark circles & shadows. Frankly I don’t have redness and rarely any puffiness, but still the product looked attractive and that’s why I bought it. You could say it’s an impulse buy, which I don’t recommend any of you to do 😛

Clinique All About Eyes

It’s a nice product, with a light scent to it. My eye area looks better than before. But is it worth the price I paid?. No, it’s not. I really loved Olay’s Total Effects eye cream which lasted me a really long time and cost only about 59 bucks. I actually bought 2 of these eye creams (since I expected it to be fantastic), the other one for my mom.

Price : AED 160 for a glass tub containing 15ml.

After buying these, I got to know that there is a free goodie bag with purchase of AED 400+. So, I checked for something else and came across Clinique’s Long Last Glosswear 5 Pack Set. The colors looked super gorgeous. These lip glosses come in bottles of 2.3ml each and are travel friendly. Some glosses leave your lips super dry but these ones are really moisturizing. They aren’t super sticky too.

Clinique Long Last Glosswear set

It has good staying power. Even though it boasts 8 hours, I have found it lasts for upto 5 hours on my lips, which is still good. The colors, though they appear intensely pigmented in the tubes, are light and sheer on application. Here are the lip swatches :

lips

Bare Lips

Clinique Cupid's Bow

Cupid’s Bow – Probably the lightest shade of red. My favorite out of the 5. Gorgeous, non-shimmer and sheer.

Clinique Purple Crush

Purple Crush – A pinkish purple, sheer and with a slight shimmer.

Clinique Love at First Sight

Love at First Sight – A light violet color, shimmer and sheer.

Clinique Happy Heart

Happy ♥ – A pinkish peach color, non- shimmer and sheer.

Clinique Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth – Lightest shade of pink, almost on the verge of being white. Kinda makes me look ghastly IRL. My least favorite out of the 5. Non-shimmer and sheer.

Price : AED 147

Though wearable on it’s own, I feel like their performance is enhanced when coupled with lipsticks of the same shades.

Next, here is the goodie bag I received. The bag itself is a keeper, being super gorgeous, multicolored and really good quality. I adore it!.

Clinique makeup bag

Frankly, I am really impressed with the contents of this bag. There were 5 items –

● Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief – This is a cream that delivers intense moisture to dry skin. On application, there is a cooling effect which is such relief. Aptly named ‘thirst relief’, this works like how water works for our body!. The sample came in a 7ml glass container. It has a really gentle & pleasant smell. It has a really lightweight appearance and goes on like a serum on the skin, getting absorbed super fast.

Clinique moisture surge

● Clinique High Impact lipstick in the color 13 Flamenco – I literally died seeing a full sized lipstick in this goodie bag!. Like whatt?!. It came in a classic Clinique green colored tube and since High Impact lipsticks come packaged differently, I can only guess the one I got was originally designed as a test product (You know, to be kept on shelves for testing). Anyways, I am super happy to get one ♥

Clinique Flamenco

Flamenco is an ‘orange’ish red lipstick, even though it looks more on the red side, in the tube. It looks super pretty on application. More layers can be added to get an intense, full coverage look. It goes on a like butter on the lips, giving the look of really moisturised lips.

Clinique Flamenco lip swatch

● Clinique High Impact mascara – Never been more disappointed with any mascara like this before. It literally does nothing to my lashes. Wish I could show you a before & after pic, but both looks the same!.

fotor_147472748201920

● Clinique Foaming Sonic Facial Cleanser – A thick, white colored foaming cleanser that takes away all impurities, leaving the skin looking well cared for and soft. It came in a 15ml deluxe sample tube and I was able to get several uses out of it since a little goes a long way. Loved this cleanser!

Foaming cleanser

● Clinique Aromatics in White perfume – A very feminine, floral, musky scent that’s definitely charming. It has good lasting power. Loved this sample too. It came in a small glass spray bottle.

Clinique Aromatics in White

Even though I have mentioned light scents for the skincare products, all Clinique products are 100% Fragrance free. Also, they are Allergy tested.

Everything shown above (including that cute little camel toy, which cost AED 29) were purchased at Abu Dhabi Duty Free.

iHerb Haul #10 – Skincare products & more!

Hi guys!

Here is my recent haul from the best online shopping site ever, iHerb!.

iHerb haul

1) Andalou Naturals Lift & Firm Cream – You will find this product in one of my previous hauls. That time though, I had bought it for my brother. Recently he raved about it to me and so I had to get it for myself. This cream has Hyaluronic Acid, DMAE and fruit stem cell complex (Apple / Grape). The main ingredient in it is certified organic Aloe Vera and also has Argan & Jojoba oils. This product is supposed to help with diminishing the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, fade hyperpigmentation and improve overall texture for a visibly lifted, firmer complexion.

Andalou Naturals

I found it to be extremely hydrating and nourishing. It imparts a soft, supple feeling. It’s white in color, has a light Vanilla like scent and has a lovely, creamy texture. A little comes a long way. It’s meant to be used in the daytime. Though not shown here, I bought two of this, the other one a repeat purchase for bro.

Price – $19.96 (Approx AED 73.32) for a tub containing 50 ml.

2) Andalou Naturals Night Repairing cream– Since I bought the day cream, I decided to check out the night cream too, as it’s a known fact that when you get products from the same range, it goes well together, works hand in hand and helps you achieve your goal in a lesser amount of time. This product contains certified organic Aloe Vera, Cacao butter, Hyaluronic Acid, Rosehip oil, Evening Primrose oil, Avocado oil and more. The Resveratrol & CoQ10 in it works as antioxidants, to stimulate circulation, slow cellular damage and speedy healthy cell renewal for improved skin texture.

Andalou Naturals

This cream has a balm like texture and is very light. It has a chocolatey smell, which I really liked. A little goes a long way with this product too. It sinks in really fast leaving skin looking healthy and slightly dewy.

Price – $19.96 (Approx ) for a tub containing 50 ml.

Based on my experience with both these products I would definitely recommend you the Andalou Naturalsbrand. Also, I preferred it because it is vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, sulphate free, Non- GMO & gluten free. When you use chemical free products, it really makes a wonderful difference in your skin. Both of these creams that I purchased are from their ‘Age Defying’ range and targets ‘Dry & Very Dry’ skin types.

3) Avocado oil by Now Solutions– I love this oil so much since it’s multi purpose. I use it both as a nourishing face oil in my night time skin care routine and as a hydrating oil for my dry hair. This is a repeat purchase. Only difference though, is that last time, I had bought a smaller bottle (118 ml) while this time, it’s a larger one (473 ml).

Avocado oil

Price – $12.22 (Approx AED 44.89) for a bottle containing 473 ml.

4) Nubian Heritage Indian Hemp & Tamanu Deep Treatment Masque– Since I have dry hair, I wanted to try a product like this one. Funny enough, I don’t use it as a masque but as an overnight leave-in conditioner. The actual usage of it is to work it into damp hair from roots to end, cover hair with plastic cap for 45 mins and then to rinse off. However, I simply work it into my hair from the middle part until the very tips and leave it overnight. Next day when I wash my hair, it feels soft and manageable.

Nubian Heritage

It is white in color and has a thick texture. I first rub it in between both my hands, warm it up just a bit that way and massage it into the hair. This mask contains great ingredients such as Tamanu oil, Monoi oil, nutrient-rich Garlic extract and Bamboo to fortify hair. This is made for dry, textured and damaged hair. Overall, it’s a nice masque but not one I would urge you to buy because my expectations were really high for this product and it falls short of it.

Nubian Heritage

Price – $11.99 (Approx AED 44.04) for a tub containing 340 gms.

5) Hyaluronic Acid Firming Serum by Now Solutions– I was looking for a serum that hydrates well but doesn’t cost a lot. So, I chose this one. It’s supposed to naturally reduce appearance of fine lines.

Hyaluronic Acid Serum

I love the runny texture of this product. A little goes a looong way. On application, it feels like my skin just drinks it up, leaving it hydrated. It has this extremely refreshing scent. It reminds me of the smell of the leaf of lemon tree. I would like to say this could be a cheaper version of Mad Hippie’s Exfoliating serum, which I have reviewed earlier. No doubt their ingredients are worlds apart but am comparing just the texture and feel of the products.

I love any product that comes with a pump because it’s convenient and mess-free. So, I was delighted to see a pump on this one. However, I was surprised to see that there is no tube inside the bottle. On reading it’s back side, I understood that it uses an airless pump. So, you gotta shake the bottle, then pump to get rid of excess air and then product is dispensed out. If not, shake again. The base rises each time you pump. But I rather prefer a bottle with a pump/tube mechanism. But still, I love this product so much!. I HIGHLY recommend it!. Also, it’s paraben free, cruelty free and gluten free.

Price – $11.04 (Approx AED 40.55) for a bottle containing 30 ml.

6) Badger Beard Balm – I got this for my brother since of late he is into grooming his beard. According to him, it’s a nice product and he would recommend it. It is a cruelty free product.

Badger Beard Balm

Price – $14.39 (Approx AED 52.86) for a tin containing 56 gms.
