iHerb Haul #12 – One phenomenal Korean skincare product & more!

Hey guys,

Am back with yet another iHerb haul. Remember, in my last iHerb haul, I mentioned that I received $15.41 as loyalty credit?. Well, loyalty credit expires after 60 days, so when I received a reminder in Nov 2016, to use the credit, I decided not to waste it & bought two skincare products. Here are my thoughts about them :

Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack – Etude House is one of the most popular Korean brands. Koreans are knows for their elaborate skincare routines and beautiful skin. Sleeping pack is a new concept to me. So, I decided to give it a try. Basically, it’s a face pack that works while you are sleeping. It’s used in place of the night cream, like twice a week.

Etude House sleeping pack

Before going further with the review, I gotta talk about the packaging!. Koreans make the most adorable & cute stuff. This product is made to look like a bubble tea, complete with tapioca pearls lookalike in it!. It definitely looks edible. It comes in a glass, with a plastic lid and a scoop. Inside, there is another protective lid to avoid the product from transfering.

Etude house sleeping pack

I chose the ‘Strawberry’ one. It’s pink in color and has a unique kind of water like, ultra lightweight texture. It smells amazing. On application, it’s like a splash of water, quenching the thirst of dry skin. It’s super hydrating. When you have extra dry feeling, get hold of one of those pearls with the scoop that it comes with, break it apart, mix with the strawberry pack and apply. On waking up the next morning, the skin feels extremely hydrated, well rested, soft and supple.

Definitely try this out. It’s a boon for those with normal/dry skin. Another variant of this sleeping pack is the ‘Green tea’ one.

Price : $13.84 (Approx AED 50.82) for 100 gms. But I paid only $11.76 (Approx AED 43.72) since Etude House was one of the Brands of the week (which features brands at 10 – 20% off), at that time. In 2017, iHerb has revised several of their product prices. So, currently this one is priced at $12.33 (Approx AED 45.29).

Desert Essence Daily Essential Moisturizer– I have so many day and night creams, but nothing that’s general in nature. That’s why I decided to buy a daily moisturizer. This one contains Jojoba oil & Aloe Vera, along with many other plant based ingredients.

Desert Essence moisturizer

It is crueltyfree, vegan, fragrance free, paraben free & contains no SLS, Mineral oil or petrolatum. It does have a sweet scent and that’s actually because of the Geranium essential oil that’s added to it.

The white colored cream is thick and it’s best to work with small amounts, as a little goes a long way. Due to it’s texture, it’s best for winter only. During summer, it tends to melt right off of the face. But it’s definitely hydrating.

Price : $6.28 (Approx AED 23.07) for 120 ml, that should last a good half an year or so!. Super affordable, right?. Currently, this one’s price has been slashed to $5.17 (Approx AED 18.99).

Shipping & Loyalty credit

Since it’s a small purchase, I opted for the Global Mail shipping option which cost $4 (Approx AED 14.69). It was delivered by post and reached me in UAE in 10 days.

I got a loyalty credit of $1.82 for this purchase.

When you use my code SCZ695 (at check out), you will receive an instant 5% off your bill total, plus another 5% as loyalty credit, which can be used in your next order! ♡. Happy shopping!

iHerb Haul #11 – Skincare, hair care products & more!

Hey guys,

Here is yet another iHerb haul. This one is actually from Sep 2016, but I took time to try out everything to give a thorough review for you guys.

This haul focuses on skincare, health and haircare products.

iHerb haul

The Toner by Jeffrey James Botanicals – I decided to try this brand because it has so many rave reviews. I have used a DIY ACV toner for a really long time & pretty much don’t experiment with toners. But decided to give this one a try.

The Toner

It contains Vitamin C, Colloidal Silver & Camu Camu berry. It helps the skin fight against free radicals, restores balance to the skin, is antioxidant rich & firms and brightens.

It has a really lovely, refreshing scent of roses. It can be used in two ways –

○ as a toner – just spray 2 to 3 pumps onto a cotton pad and wipe away the day’s impurities from your skin. No need to wash it off.

○ as a mist – just spritz it directly onto your face and neck for a refreshing feeling. Leave it as it is, without wiping off.

It comes in a spray bottle. I definitely recommend it.

Price : $16.80 (Approx AED 61.70) for a 118 ml glass bottle. Currently though, at the time of writing this post, this product’s price has been increased to $19.20 (Approx AED 70.52), which is still 20% lower than how much you get it for, normally.

The Serum by Jeffrey James Botanicals – This is a deeply hydrating serum with over 50% Hyaluronic acid in it. It’s definitely a great serum and does what it says. It also contains Vitamin C & Green Tea.

The Serum

It has a slightly runny consistency, perfect for a smooth application. It is transparent and comes in a bottle fitted with a nozzle, which is very convenient.

Price : $30.80 (Approx AED 113.13) for a 59 ml glass bottle. However, it’s current price is $35.20 (Approx AED 129.29) & still, 20% lower than it’s regular price.

While Jeffrey James brand is definitely on the higher price range, it is of high quality and not just that, it is also crueltyfree, paraben free, sulphate free & gluten free. Both products mentioned above are good for all skin types.

Bee Propolis Trio supplement by NaturaNectar – This is a supplement that gives overall health, immune support, improves respiratory system and much more. It says ‘Trio’ because it’s a combination of three types of Premium Brazilian Bee Propolis – Brown (85%), Green (10%) & Red (5%).

Bee Propolis

I bought this for my mom and she took 1 capsule per day. She has felt a burst of energy and also her constant cough went down. She recommends it a lot.

Price : $24.74 (Approx AED 90.87) for 60 veggie capsules (2 month supply). But, since it was one of the Brands of the Week, I got a 20% discount and thus paid only $19.79 (Approx AED 72.69) for it.

Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask – I generally love glycolic masks because they always brighten up the skin by gently dissolving and sweeping away dull, dry surface cells, exfoliating and resurfacing for an even tone, smooth texture, and a luminous complexion.

Glycolic mask

This one in particular, doesn’t disappoint at all. It contains Manuka honey & organic pumpkin. It’s a really lovely mask. It can be applied on dry or damp skin, but I prefer applying on damp skin since it feels less abrasive and more comfortable that way.

Price : $12.71 (Approx AED 46.68) for a 50 gms tub

This mask, just like any other Andalou Naturals products, is vegan, crueltyfree and gluten free.

Boar bristle brush for fine hair by Bass Brushes – This is a much hyped about product. Finally, I decided to try it too when I saw one that is specifically made for my hair type (fine). You have got to experience it!. It’s amazing. Here is a before and after pic :

hair transformation

Definitely not one of my best pics. But, to be honest, I clicked it to show a friend and not for the blog.

It smoothes the hair and gives it a very natural shine. It also works out tangles. The handle is made of pure bamboo. It can be used even on wet hair!. This hair brush is gentle enough to be used as a baby brush too. Such a lovely product and it’s quality is awesome for the price it’s offered at.

Boar bristle brush

Price : $10.20 (Approx AED 37.46). Currently though, it’s price has been reduced to $9.89 (Approx AED 36.33).

Cedarwood essential oil by Now Foods – I bought this because Cedarwood oil helps massively in hair loss. In fact, it’s a product that’s recommended for alopecia patients. It’s my first time trying an essential oil and having heard of how potent it could be, I was sceptical. However, after much researching, I understood that this one can be used neat (directly). So, I have been using 2 – 3 drops directly to spots that needs more hair or by mixing it with hair oils. There is definitely a difference, though it’s not magical.

Cedarwood essential oil

If you are planning to buy this one, I suggest you check out the ‘Atlas Cedarwood oil’ like this one, because apparently that’s the one that’s used more in hair treatments. The one that I bought is extracted from the bark of a Juniper tree and not from a true Cedar it seems!. Bummer. But it does work. Also, since this oil has antiseptic properties, I use couple of drops of it in my foot soak.

Price : $4.57 (Approx AED 16.79) for a 30 ml bottle. Currently, it’s price has been reduced to $4.04 (Approx AED 14.84).

Replenish & Repair oil by The Jane Carter Solution – This hair oil contains Maracuja oil, Coconut oil & Sunflower oil. It is a light yellow colored, lightweight oil, with a subtle, pleasant scent.

Jane Carter hair oil

This is a vegan & crueltyfree haircare brand.

Price : $10.80 (Approx AED 39.67) for a 177 ml bottle.

Hyaluronic Acid serum by Reviva Labs – This is hands down one of the BEST serums out there. I saw a massive change within a couple of uses itself. My skin is plumped, very much more hydrated and supple. Absolutely love it and I can’t recommend it enough!

Hyaluronic acid serum

It’s transparent and has a slightly runny consistency. My skin seems to just drink up this product. In the first pic, you can see that I have bought two bottles. One was for my sil and she has had a very similar experience too.

Reviva Labs serum

It says here, on the bottle, that it contains ‘professional strength’ hyaluronic acid, however, the exact value is not written anywhere. Reviva Labs is a fantastic brand, that’s much raved about. I am glad I tried this product. It’s like a Holy Grail product ♡

It can be used alone for a hydration boost or under a cream. I use it at night, below my skincare oil and follow it up with my night cream. It comes in a glass bottle, with a pump.

Price : $14.31 (Approx AED 52.56) for a bottle containing 29.5 ml. Since I bought two, I got a 5% ‘Quantity discount’. Thus my total was $27.19 (Approx AED 99.87). Currently though, this product’s price has been reduced to $11.37 (Approx AED 41.76) per bottle.

Lift & Firm cream by Andalou Naturals – This is a repeat purchase for my brother. I think it’s his third tub. He swears by it and says no other cream has worked this well at moisturizing his skin.

Andalou Naturals

Price : $21.21 (Approx AED 77.90) for a 50 ml tub.

Shipment & Loyalty credit

Shipment was via DHL & it cost $8.86 (Approx AED 32.54) this time. It was shipped the very next day from US and reached me in UAE in 3 days. Love their fast shipping.

iHerb was giving back a loyalty credit of 10% of the bill total, back in 2016 (Currently, it’s 5%). So, I ended up getting $15.41 which could be used towards my next order, if placed within 2 months. Awesome savings!.

iHerb has made many changes to their site in 2017. That’s why they have reduced the prices of over 20000 products and increased the prices of a few products. Also, they have introduced ‘Shipping Savers’, which are products that can be added into your cart to help lower your shipping charges. To check the list of those products, click here.

Let me know if you need product suggestions etc while shopping at iHerb. I love to help out.♡

iHerb Haul #10 – Skincare products & more!

Hi guys!

Here is my recent haul from the best online shopping site ever, iHerb!.

iHerb haul

1) Andalou Naturals Lift & Firm Cream – You will find this product in one of my previous hauls. That time though, I had bought it for my brother. Recently he raved about it to me and so I had to get it for myself. This cream has Hyaluronic Acid, DMAE and fruit stem cell complex (Apple / Grape). The main ingredient in it is certified organic Aloe Vera and also has Argan & Jojoba oils. This product is supposed to help with diminishing the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, fade hyperpigmentation and improve overall texture for a visibly lifted, firmer complexion.

Andalou Naturals

I found it to be extremely hydrating and nourishing. It imparts a soft, supple feeling. It’s white in color, has a light Vanilla like scent and has a lovely, creamy texture. A little comes a long way. It’s meant to be used in the daytime. Though not shown here, I bought two of this, the other one a repeat purchase for bro.

Price – $19.96 (Approx AED 73.32) for a tub containing 50 ml.

2) Andalou Naturals Night Repairing cream– Since I bought the day cream, I decided to check out the night cream too, as it’s a known fact that when you get products from the same range, it goes well together, works hand in hand and helps you achieve your goal in a lesser amount of time. This product contains certified organic Aloe Vera, Cacao butter, Hyaluronic Acid, Rosehip oil, Evening Primrose oil, Avocado oil and more. The Resveratrol & CoQ10 in it works as antioxidants, to stimulate circulation, slow cellular damage and speedy healthy cell renewal for improved skin texture.

Andalou Naturals

This cream has a balm like texture and is very light. It has a chocolatey smell, which I really liked. A little goes a long way with this product too. It sinks in really fast leaving skin looking healthy and slightly dewy.

Price – $19.96 (Approx ) for a tub containing 50 ml.

Based on my experience with both these products I would definitely recommend you the Andalou Naturalsbrand. Also, I preferred it because it is vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, sulphate free, Non- GMO & gluten free. When you use chemical free products, it really makes a wonderful difference in your skin. Both of these creams that I purchased are from their ‘Age Defying’ range and targets ‘Dry & Very Dry’ skin types.

3) Avocado oil by Now Solutions– I love this oil so much since it’s multi purpose. I use it both as a nourishing face oil in my night time skin care routine and as a hydrating oil for my dry hair. This is a repeat purchase. Only difference though, is that last time, I had bought a smaller bottle (118 ml) while this time, it’s a larger one (473 ml).

Avocado oil

Price – $12.22 (Approx AED 44.89) for a bottle containing 473 ml.

4) Nubian Heritage Indian Hemp & Tamanu Deep Treatment Masque– Since I have dry hair, I wanted to try a product like this one. Funny enough, I don’t use it as a masque but as an overnight leave-in conditioner. The actual usage of it is to work it into damp hair from roots to end, cover hair with plastic cap for 45 mins and then to rinse off. However, I simply work it into my hair from the middle part until the very tips and leave it overnight. Next day when I wash my hair, it feels soft and manageable.

Nubian Heritage

It is white in color and has a thick texture. I first rub it in between both my hands, warm it up just a bit that way and massage it into the hair. This mask contains great ingredients such as Tamanu oil, Monoi oil, nutrient-rich Garlic extract and Bamboo to fortify hair. This is made for dry, textured and damaged hair. Overall, it’s a nice masque but not one I would urge you to buy because my expectations were really high for this product and it falls short of it.

Nubian Heritage

Price – $11.99 (Approx AED 44.04) for a tub containing 340 gms.

5) Hyaluronic Acid Firming Serum by Now Solutions– I was looking for a serum that hydrates well but doesn’t cost a lot. So, I chose this one. It’s supposed to naturally reduce appearance of fine lines.

Hyaluronic Acid Serum

I love the runny texture of this product. A little goes a looong way. On application, it feels like my skin just drinks it up, leaving it hydrated. It has this extremely refreshing scent. It reminds me of the smell of the leaf of lemon tree. I would like to say this could be a cheaper version of Mad Hippie’s Exfoliating serum, which I have reviewed earlier. No doubt their ingredients are worlds apart but am comparing just the texture and feel of the products.

I love any product that comes with a pump because it’s convenient and mess-free. So, I was delighted to see a pump on this one. However, I was surprised to see that there is no tube inside the bottle. On reading it’s back side, I understood that it uses an airless pump. So, you gotta shake the bottle, then pump to get rid of excess air and then product is dispensed out. If not, shake again. The base rises each time you pump. But I rather prefer a bottle with a pump/tube mechanism. But still, I love this product so much!. I HIGHLY recommend it!. Also, it’s paraben free, cruelty free and gluten free.

Price – $11.04 (Approx AED 40.55) for a bottle containing 30 ml.

6) Badger Beard Balm – I got this for my brother since of late he is into grooming his beard. According to him, it’s a nice product and he would recommend it. It is a cruelty free product.

Badger Beard Balm

Price – $14.39 (Approx AED 52.86) for a tin containing 56 gms.

Discounts and Shipping

iHerb has introduced something new. A loyalty program!. After each purchase, 10% of your bill total (excluding shipping charges) is placed in your iHerb account. It has a validity of 60 days. Next time you purchase within this time frame, this amount is deducted from your bill total!. For this purchase of mine, I got $9.76 (Approx AED 35.85) :).

Since Andalou Naturals was one of the ‘Brands of the Week’ at the time of my purchase, I got an extra 20% off it, thus saving $11.97 (Approx AED 43.97) on three products!

The shipping via DHL was amazingly fast and it reached me from US to UAE in just 3 days. Gotta love how fast DHL’s service is. Shipping cost me $8 (Approx AED 29.38), since iHerb had a special offer running that month that no matter how much ever the weight is of the package, you can get it shipped for a flat rate of $8. There really is no other site that offers you so much value!.

iHerb Haul #9 – Skincare products!

Hey beauties!

In September 2015, I was quite surprised one fine morning when I found an email from iHerb in my inbox stating that they are giving me $10 (AED 36.73) to shop on their site. That too, no conditions attached which means no minimum purchase required!. iHerb is my favorite online shopping site and I literally need no reason to go shopping there. However, I had just gone shopping there in the previous month (see my August haul post), so I was sceptical about spending more on things I don’t need right now. But I didn’t want this $10 to go to waste (it was valid for only 5 days), so I did just that.. I went shopping with that $10!. iHerb being a site that provides immense value, I was sure I would find something that would ‘fit my budget’. 😀

The first place I headed to is their Specials’ page, which lists special offers and also a 20% discount on 5-7 brands each week. That particular week, the brand EO Products captured my attention. It is a crueltyfree and glutenfree skincare & body care brand with the motto ‘Love Life. Live Clean’. After looking at the array of awesome products they offer, I chose their Rose & Chamomile body lotion.

iHerb

This is one of the best body lotions I have ever used. It gets absorbed so fast into the skin, it feels like your skin is drinking up the goodness!. It smells of rose, grapefruit, chamomile & glycerin. It’s such an uplifting scent, it feels like aromatherapy. All ingredients in it are organic and it also has essential oils in it. It is white in color, has a liquidy consistency and comes in a bottle with a pump, which is so convenient. It makes your skin feel super soft. I will make sure I look at more products from this brand, in my future purchases.

Price : $6.90 (AED 25.34) for a bottle containing 236 ml, but since it was one of the brands of the week, I got it for $5.52 (AED 20.27)

Next, I headed over to the ‘Now Foods’ brand page to look for a skincare oil. I am a huge fan of their Avocado oil (see my Skincare oils haul post). I then found Apricot oil there that sounded really nice. It softens fine lines and helps treat dry hair. It’s a multi purpose product which appealed to me. As a skincare oil, it’s actually more suitable for mature skin but since am all about anti-aging and also since I have dry hair, I decided to go for it.

iHerb

It’s a heavy oil. It leaves an oily sheen on the skin and hair. It smells lightly of apricot when smelt directly from the bottle but if you take a small amount in your hand and smell it, it just has an oily smell, nothing else. Since I don’t mind using a heavy oil on my face at night, I like this oil.

Price : $3.18 (AED 11.68) for a bottle containing 118 ml. Please note it’s current price is $3.81 (AED 13.99).

Lastly, I checked out their ‘Trials’ page to find something sample sized or a full sized product at a discounted price. There I found Desert Essence’s Ultra Hydrating Lip Rescue lip balm.

iHerb

It’s a lovely, non sticky, moisturizing lip balm. It has a beautiful light scent. I love that it contains Shea butter & Rosemary essential oil. Also, Desert Essence is a crueltyfree & vegan brand. Please note that Desert Essence is one of the Brands of the Week right now (until Feb 3rd).

Price : $2.49 (AED 9.15) for a tube containing 4.25 gms. However, since it was featured on the Trials page, I got it for $1.68 (AED 6.17).

Shopping over and my total is $10.38 (AED 38.13). Like how cool is that!. I got 3 awesome products for such a low price ♡.

Shipping

Since I was ‘shopping on a budget’, I chose to opt for the Airmail (by post) option, which cost $4 (AED 14.69) that month. I usually choose the DHL courier option, since that way I get my package right to my doorstep from US to UAE in 2 – 3 days. Even though cheaper or even completely free sometimes, I never chose Airmail before, since it has no tracking and it says on the site that it would take anywhere between 1 – 5 weeks for the package to arrive. By choosing Airmail this time, I could test out whether it reaches safely to UAE and also know how long it takes to reach here. It did reach safely on the 9th day after I placed the order.

Overall, such a lovely experience ‘shopping on a budget’ on iHerb. 😉

Use my code SCZ695 at check out to get $5 off your first purchase.

iHerb Haul #8 – Tea, Skincare & more!

Hey guys!

Happy 2016 ♡. Hope you all had a great start to this year!

Screenshot_2016-01-08-02-24-38-1-1

First post of 2016, I wanted it to be about something am passionate about. Lol!. Am so passionate about shopping on iHerb :D. This haul is from Aug 2015. Here are the things I bought :

iHerb1

1) Premium Black Cumin seed oil by Amazing Herbs – I have done an entire post on the benefits of black cumin seed oil before. It’s miraculous. This time, I bought 4 bottles for my father & uncle, because both of them suffers from back and leg pain. External application of this oil reduced their pain so much that they asked me to order more.

iHerb2

They all came individually packed this time. I recently received an email from someone asking me if this oil could help alleviate his mom’s cancer and I said definitely give this oil a try. When researching this product, I read that it can cure cancer if it’s in the initial stage. It’s that powerful.

Price : $19.49 (AED 71.59) per bottle, each containing 236 ml. iHerb’s price for this product is 35% lesser than it’s market price.

2 & 3) I haven’t really delved into the world of loose leaf teas. However, during August, Just A Leaf Organic teas had a massive sale going on. All their teas were priced at just a dollar each!. I got the following two tins :

China Rose Infused Black tea – This tea contains organic black tea leaves, organic red rose petals & natural essence of rose. It has a really refreshing taste and the scent of roses is truly invigorating. Love it. The pieces of rose petals are so nice to taste in between the sips of this lovely tea.

iHerb3

iHerb4

Price : $10.22 (AED 37.54) for a tin containing 99 gms. But I got it for $1 (AED 3.67)!

Bergamot Grey tea – This tea contains organic black tea leaves & organic essence of Bergamot. I chose this tea mainly because I have found that I like any perfume that has bergamot listed in one of it’s notes. It has a nice citrussy smell & a very strong, spice like taste.

iHerb5

iHerb6

Price : $9.45 (AED 34.71) for a tin containing 99 gms. But I got it for $1 (AED 3.67)!

Currently all Just A Leaf organic teas that iHerb stocks are those which comes in sealed packs. Tin packaging has been discontinued. That’s why I haven’t listed the direct links to these two products here.

4) Hand cream with Argan nut oil by Madre Labs– Before checking out after placing all products in my cart, I always check the Trials section, which lists trial sized products and also full sized products at an amazingly discounted price. This time, I saw this hand cream by Madre Labs, which is unscented & full sized.

iHerb7

It’s key ingredients are oils of Argan nut, jojoba, sesame, avocado, olive and coconut plus shea butter. It contains no parabens. It’s a thick white cream. It’s very moisturizing. One advice I gotta give is to work with a pea sized amount only. More the amount of cream, the more it keeps spreading & the more you have to rub it into the skin to get it absorbed. But with a smaller amount, it gets easily absorbed. Also, though it says ‘unscented’, it has the faintest scent of Argan oil.

iHerb8

Price : $7.95 (AED 29.20) for a tube containing 71 gms. However, I got it for a trial price of only $0.10 (AED 0.37)!

Currently in Jan 2016, this product is still listed in the Trials section at $0.10. Definitely give it a try!

Discounts & Shipping

During August, iHerb had a VIP discount going on. Depending on your bill total different percentages of discounts were being given. Since my bill total was $60+, I received the highest discount of 10% :). My shipping charge came to $11.01 (AED 40.44). It reached in UAE from US, via DHL, in 3 days. Love how fast their shipping always is ♡

Use my code SCZ695 at check out to receive an instant discount of $5 from your bill total.

iHerb Haul #7 – Skincare products!

Holla!

Here is another haul from my absolutely favorite shopping site, iHerb. Unlike my previous iHerb hauls, this one won’t have mini reviews, since I placed this order for my brother and sister in law. However, since I suggested these products for them, I will be writing more about why I decided to choose these products.

iherb haul 1

Click the above picture to add all four products to your shopping cart in one click.

1) Certified Organic Shea Butter by Now Foods – Shea Butter has a rich, luxurious texture that penetrates deep to condition and moisturize every type of skin. It is a wonderful emollient that’s perfect for daily use. It can also be used as a scalp moisturizer. My SIL told me it has a hard texture. However, it melts when rubbed between the palms. This is a lovely product that gives intense nourishment and hydration to even the driest of skin types.

Price : $9.93 (AED 36.47) for a tub containing 207 ml. iHerb’s price for this product is 24% lesser than the market value!.

2) Certified Organic Jojoba oil by Now Foods – This is my SIL’s favorite oil. She once bought this from iHerb itself and this is her second bottle. This is great for usage on both skin & hair.

Price : $9.93 (AED 36.47) for a bottle containing 118 ml. iHerb’s price for this product is 34% lesser than the market value!.

3) Apricot oil by Now Foods – Apricot oil is the oil derived from apricot kernels, that will naturally nourish and moisturize your skin. Rich in essential fatty acids, this gentle oil has excellent restorative properties. I suggested this to my SIL because just like Jojoba oil, this is a multi purpose oil. It can be used to soften fine lines & restore a healthy glow to the skin while also bringing radiance to the hair. I have actually placed an order for this very same bottle for myself, but that will be shown in another haul post :).

Price : $3.18 (AED 11.68) for a bottle containing 118 ml. iHerb’s price for this product is 36% lesser than the market value!.

4) Lift & Firm Cream with Hyaluronic DMAE by Andalou Naturals – Recently my brother suffered from a really bad sun burn. He asked me to look for a cream that is hydrating but at the same time non – greasy. I searched high and low and finally found this cream which fit the bill perfectly!. It has Hyaluronic acid in it that gives intense hydration. This product contains age defying, fruit stem cells. Also, Andalou Naturals is a crueltyfree / vegan brand. After using it, my brother said that he hasn’t used anything like it before and that it really is an awesome product. Since I have normal / dry skin, I’ve added this cream to my wishlist for a future purchase.

Price : $19.96 (AED 73.30) for a tub containing 50 ml. iHerb’s price for this product is 20% lesser than the market value!.

iherb haul 2

Discounts Received & Shipping

I placed this order on Oct 6th. At that time, iHerb had the offers of $8 shipping fee via DHL and 5% discount for every order above $40. So, I was able to avail both offers. The 5% discount came to $2.15 (AED 7.90). Shipping fee was $8 (AED 29.38), which is great value. Within 4 hours of placing the order, I received an email saying it’s shipped!. In 4 days, it reached my brother’s office in Abu Dhabi from US. Also, along with the order, iHerb sometimes keeps freebies and this time it’s a cute green and white cloth pin.

FYI : From now until Oct 31st 2015, iHerb is offering a flat shipping fee of $8 via DHL, $6 via Premium Airmail & $4 via Regular Post, irrespective of the bill total amount!. Usually you get the best shipping price only when the bill total is $40 or above. It’s a great offer and you should definitely take advantage of it.

Also, if you are in UAE and wondering if you can order from iHerb, the solution is to ask someone else in another country to place the order for you but give the delivery address in UAE. That way you will still get your favorite products to your doorsteps.. I placed this order from India and got it delivered in Abu Dhabi.

iHerb Haul #6 – Vitamins!

Hey guys!

Here is another iHerb haul!. iHerb is my favorite online shopping site. It’s US based but ships worldwide ultra fast and offers great deals!. This time, I bought some vitamins for my mom and myself. I did this shopping on Dec 31st, 2014. Here they are:

IMG_1616

1) Natrol Menopause Formula – My mom is 49. She hadn’t hit menopause but had to have her uterus removed a few years back due to some complications and that brought about menopausal symptoms. The worst of it is hot flashes. She would have it many times during the day and even when the A/C is on!. Also, even simple actions like getting ready to go out would make her sweat really badly. She was so tired of it. She saw the doctors about it but nothing really helped. Some said she would overcome it and also gave her some hormonal medicines. But, she didn’t see results and asked me to look into supplements that might help. That’s when I read about menopausal support formula and decided to give this one a try. This Natrol one is hormone free and also supports bone health.

menosel Trust me you guys, her hot flashes became significantly and noticeably less after taking these for just 2 weeks!. She takes 2 tablets in a day. She highly recommends anyone having these symptoms, to take these. It’s a huge relief and I myself am so happy to see that I helped!

Price : $9.08 (AED 33.35) for a bottle containing 60 capsules (which lasts for a month). I bought 4 bottles.

2) Evening Primrose oil capsules by Solgar – Solgar is a really known brand when it comes to dietary supplements and vitamins. Evening Primrose oil has several benefits. It helps with achieving the best for your skin, since it has essential fatty acids that help in keeping the skin youthful and also is generally great for women (for PMS, breast pain etc). It great for nourishing your hair and nails too. I bought this for my mom because these capsules also help alleviate menopausal discomforts. When taken along with the Menopause formula, it helps immensely. She takes just 1 tablet a day.

primrose The capsules came in a glass bottle. Inorder to avoid any damage, this bottle was specially bubble wrapped. I love how iHerb really takes care to pack everything well. These capsules are pretty huge and contains 1300mg per capsule. This brand sells premium, cold pressed, gluten free primrose oil and that’s why I chose this brand.

Price : $11.52 (AED 42.31) for a bottle containing 60 softgels (which lasts for 2 months). I bought 2 bottles.

3) High Potency Vitamin D3 softgels by Rexall Sundown Naturals – I bought this for myself. Vitamin D is great for bone health and for immune support. I spend a lot of time indoors and don’t really expose myself to the sunlight, which is a natural source of Vitamin D. Even though now I might not feel it’s effects, later on in life, my bone health would suffer. I like to take precaution and like to take one capsule of this per day.

vitamind Each capsule contains 1000IU and is tiny in size. This bottle will last me a LONG time!.

Price : $11.23 (AED 41.25) for a bottle containing 400 softgels (which will last an year and more!).

4) L- Carnitine by Now Foods – L-Carnitine naturally exists in your body. But I do like to take these tablets. Some of the main things that these tablets do are : give anti-aging benefits for the skin, firm the skin, increase energy levels (Athletes take these tablets) and also help in burning fat in the body (particularly visceral belly fat).

lcarnitine

The capsule is white and each one contains 500mg. I take one tablet daily.

Price : $16.56 (AED 60.83) for a bottle containing 60 capsules (which will last 2 months).

I actually didn’t have a plan of buying these L-Carnitine tablets. I already have a bottle of it that I am currently using and a back up, from the brand Puritan’s Pride, which I bought from a local pharmacy here in UAE. It was the price of this bottle that made me buy it. As you can see, the Now Foods bottle with 60 capsules in it, costs roughly AED 60.83. But in UAE, vitamins are priced much higher. Below are the bottles that I currently own. Each contains 60 tablets and has the same ingredients and all that but costs AED 145 per bottle!

IMG_1754

This one is also white in color and contains 500mg per tablet.

Anyways, that’s my iherb haul!. Hope you enjoyed reading. Disclaimer : I personally research vitamins online and buy it if I like what I see. I just seem to know what’s worth trying and what’s not. Even my husband doesn’t really like the fact that I buy random vitamins for myself. But I do that and I have been doing that for years. For your safety, please research well and I would recommend you take vitamins after having consulted a doctor.

Discounts Received

During December 2014, iHerb had a 50% off on International shipping. Also, I got 5% off my entire order since it was over $40. That came to $5.22 (AED 19.17). Also, iHerb had included a cute notepad and pencil in my package 🙂

note

Shipping

The shipping cost was $10.37 (AED 38.09) after the 50% discount. I had placed the order on Dec 31st. Since it was the new year’s day the next day, there was a note on the check out page that a delay should be expected and that my package will be shipped by Jan 4th. I didn’t mind waiting at all. However, on Jan 2nd itself I received an email saying it was shipped and less than 48 hours, it was on my doorstep, delivered by DHL!.

I can’t stress this enough, iHerb is one of the BEST websites I have ever come across in my life. I highly recommend it.

iHerb Haul #5 – Skincare/Haircare products and snacks :)

Hey guys!

Back with another haul from my absolute favorite online site, iHerb!. This time I shopped for my family rather than for myself. Here are the things I bought 🙂

IMG_1508Click this picture if you wish to add everything shown here to your cart in one click.

1) Nature’s Gate body lotion – This body lotion contains colloidal oatmeal and is made especially for itchy, dry and sensitive skin. Oatmeal is a key ingredient that you need to look out for in products targeting dry skin. FYI: Colloidal oatmeal is just oatmeal that has been ground to a fine powder.

IMG_1509

The other ingredients in this body lotion are just great as well. That’s what attracted me to buy it for my mom. Here is the list: Shea butter, Sweet almond oil, Apricot Kernel oil, Soybean oil, Canola oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Vegetable glycerin and Vitamin E.

All these work towards softening and hydrating your skin. Another great thing is that this brand is free of parabens, phthalate, mineral oil, petrolatum, PEG and fragrances. This brand is also cruelty free, vegan and made in USA. Mom quite loved this product. I tried it out too and it’s very nice. However, there is a natural scent to it which I didn’t like a lot. It might be oats or anther smell. Can’t put my finger on it. But my skin loved it!

The bottle is a sturdy one with a pump. It contains 946 ml and will surely last a long time.

Price: $11.92 (AED 43.78)

2) Jojoba oil by Now Foods – This is a multi – purpose oil. You can use it both in skincare and hair care. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, helps in hair growth, in conditioning the hair, hydrating the skin and also is a great carrier oil. My sister in law has been having excessive hair loss and that’s why she asked me to place an order for this.

IMG_1511

It comes in a plastic bottle and easy to dispense lid. Even though it looks like a little bottle, it lasts a long time since I already own the Now Foods Avocado oil which comes in the exact same bottle and is one that I have been using over the past one year. I covered it in my first iHerb haul post.

Price: $11.46 (AED 42.09) for a 118ml bottle. However, since all oils were on 20% off on iHerb during that week, as a weekly offer, I got this for $9.17 (AED 33.68)

I also wanted to highlight something. This particular Jojoba oil is specifically said to be ‘Certified organic’. There is another Jojoba oil listed on the site from the same brand that comes in the same kind of bottle, containing the same amount of oil which just says ‘100% pure’ on it. That one costs $9.93 (AED 36.47) on a regular day and on discount that week, was $7.74 (AED 28.43). However, I felt it was a better decision to go with the ‘certified organic’ version.

3) Rosemary Essential oil – This is one of the most popular essential oils. My sister in law wanted it because when this one is combined with a carrier oil, especially Jojoba oil, it becomes a potent hair care treatment for longer, stronger hair. That is the main purpose she wanted it. However, Rosemary essential oil has numerous other uses too, be it aromatherapy, stress relief or skincare.

IMG_1512

It came in a dark brown glass bottle. The scent of it is absolutely amazing. It’s very aromatic, warm, potent and camphorous.

Price: $6.11 (AED 22.44) for a 30 ml bottle. I got 20% off on this oil too :). So, it was $4.89 (AED 17.96)!.

4) Mad Hippie Exfoliating Serum – I bought this in my last iHerb haul. I also reviewed it some days ago. Anyways, my mom really loved how much beneficial this serum has been for my skin. The result was that profound!. So, she wanted one too. Since, it’s anti aging, I felt it would suit my mom’s skin too. So I bought this bottle for her.

IMG_1510

Price: $27.99 (AED 102.81) for a 30ml bottle.

5) Snackimals Chocolate Chip cookies by Barbara’s Bakery – I bought this in my last haul too. Remember back then how I shamelessly ate what I had originally bought for my nephew?. :D. Well this time I am making up for it!. I promised I will buy it again when I order from iHerb next time. So, this time it’s definitely for my little adorable nephew… Am keeping my paws off it!. I freaking love these cookies. They are so yum!. You got to try these out ♥

IMG_1507

Price: $4.46 (AED 16.38) for a packet containing 213 gms. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last that long 😛

Discounts received

In addition to the 20% discount I received on two of the five items I ordered, iHerb had something called the ‘VIP discount’ happening the time I had placed this order. I am not sure when that offer started/ended. However, I am indeed glad I got it. I got a 10% discount which worked out to be $5.84 (AED 21.45). Seriously, iHerb is an amazing site that gives discounts on top of discounts. You save a great deal when shopping from there.

Shipping

The shipping cost was $18.99 (AED 69.75). I think this is the highest shipping charge that I have paid when ordering from iHerb. It’s because of the pretty heavy body lotion. Once again, my order was shipped ultra fast. Shipped the same day that I placed the order and arrived at my doorstep in UAE, from US, in less than 48 hours!.

Everything was packaged very carefully so as to avoid any damage during transit. The Jojoba oil, Rosemary essential oil and the Nature’s Gate body lotion were individually packed in zip lock bags. Once again, I highly suggest this site to you. They ship worldwide, ultra fast.

iHerb Haul #4 – Skincare, Makeup, Snacks and more!

Hey guys!

I am back with another haul from my favorite online shopping site – iHerb!. This time I bought a variety of items. Here they are:

IMG_1348Click this picture if you wish to add everything shown in this picture to your cart in one click.

1) Indigo Wild Zum Soap Lover’s Gift Box – My mom is a huge fan of Bath & Beauty items. Her birthday is coming up next month and what better gift than a Soap Lover’s gift box?. Indigo Wild produces soaps, mists and other body care products containing no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, preservatives, detergents, synthetic fragrances or colorings. It really appealed to me. Goat’s milk soap has many benefits. It delays signs of skin aging due to its high content of alpha-hydroxy acids, has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties (making it perfect for those with acne) and is loaded with vitamins that are easily absorbed into our bodies.

IMG_1349

This box contains 10 items and they are:

  • Three Goat’s Milk soap bars, each 3 oz (85 gms) and having different and exotic smells like Frankincense-Lavender, Eucalyptus and Tangerine-Orange.
  • Three All-Natural Aromatherapy Laundry Soap, each 30 ml, with scents namely Sweet Orange, Frankincense & Myrrh and Eucalyptus-Citrus
  • Three liquid soaps, with scents namely Lemon Grass, Rosemary-Mint and Frankincense & Myrrh
  • One sachet of goat milk bar shavings, which can be used to keep anywhere to take away bad odor like stinky drawers or a stuffy closet.

These smell heavenly and was the first thing I could register when I opened my iHerb package. This is such a perfect gift for those who love bath and beauty products.

Price: $22 (AED 80.81). That’s how much I paid. However, currently there is a promotion and as such it is $20.55 (AED 75.48)

Talking about gifts, iHerb has put together an amazing selection of gift sets for just about anyone in your life, be it men, children, makeup lovers, tea lovers or anyone, in anticipation of the Holiday season ahead of us. Do check it out!

2) 100% Raw Manuka Honey, Active 16+ by Wedderspoon Organic Inc. – I have been wanting to try Manuka honey for so long now. It is a monofloral (means bees get the honey from only one kind of plant species) honey from New Zealand. It is high in anti-bacterial properties making it an excellent product for wound care, skincare and for digestion. So basically, you can eat it, apply it on your face as a soothing face mask (it makes your skin really soft and glowing) and also apply on wounds to help it heal faster.

Since Manuka honey is so rare, it is pretty expensive. I have seen many kinds here in UAE. Were it not so expensive, I would definitely have bought different brands to find out which one is the best. However, that’s just wishful thinking!. Since, I did decide to invest money in it, I thought why not go for the best?. Wedderspoon is a really raved about brand. So I bought the one with the highest Active number, which is 16+ from their range. Active number shows the peroxide activity rate. In layman’s terms, it just means higher the number the better. It starts from 5. But if you are looking for honey to use in wound care, you should definitely aim for 10+.

Manuka

During my researches on which honey I should go for, I did come across a particular article which said any company could put any ‘Active’ number on their label and what you really should look for is the UMF rating. UMF stands for Unique Manuka Factor. However, since Wedderspoon is a known brand and there are hundreds of rave reviews on it, I decided to buy it.

Indeed, it has a very unique taste. I would describe it as herbal and woody. It leaves a slightly bitter after taste which goes away within seconds. I really love it. It tastes pretty powerful!. It’s texture is thick, very smooth and almost like a creamy jelly. It’s color is a beautiful golden brown. On the Pfund scale, used to measure the color of honey, I would say, the batch of honey that I received falls in the category between 75 – 85 mm.

ManukaPfundScaleThanks to google.ae for this pic!

It’s perfect to take while having throat infection or cough and it did benefit me. I will be incorporating it into masks and trying some DIY recipes. Will definitely post one soon. I did try it alone on my face and it’s really nice. Skin seemed visibly brightened and softer. Also, while other honeys are a really sticky mess and tough to spread on the skin, this one goes on very smoothly and overall, it’s application is so convenient and easy.

One thing I don’t quite like about it is that it comes in a plastic tub. Usually potent honeys are stored in dark colored glass jars. Wedderspoon uses BPA free plastic tubs. Only positive thing about it is that they won’t break while in transit!. I definitely do recommend this brand anyway, because the quality of the honey is great!

Price: $40.86 (AED 150.08) for a tub containing 500 gms, which is pretty good pricing considering Manuka honey with Active 15+ rating usually sells for about AED195, here in UAE. Thanks to my friend Abidha for mentioning that to me.

3) Snackimals Animal Chocolate Chip cookies by Barbara’s Bakery : I love chocolate chip cookies. That being said, I actually feel extremely guilty when saying this… I didn’t buy this for myself. I bought it for my little nephew but ended up eating it since that particular weekend that they were supposed to come visit me from Abu Dhabi, they didn’t and the thought that there is a large pack of chocolate chip cookies in my cupboard just didn’t let me think of anything else!. OMG!. How bad am I??. But I also thought, “Hey, I never tested it out. I should probably test it out and only if it’s good I’ll get it for my nephew”. Man, it’s scrumptious!. Such a lovely pack of animal shaped cookies, that is made from organic grains.

Snckimals

It’s thin but sturdy and crunchy. Since’s it not chewy and rich, you don’t feel guilty at all!. But I got to say it’s not low in calories. You can see tiny sugar crystals on the backside of the cookies, if you notice that in the picture above. One serving, which is 10 cookies contains 120 calories. The problem is that you wouldn’t stop with 10 cookies. I bet you, you wouldn’t even count :P. It’s really yum and a great snack for kids and adults too. My husband who doesn’t even like cookies, loved it!.  It comes in a good quality resealable pack, ensuring freshness every time, not that you will need it anyway. The pack will be over in one sitting! I will definitely buy this one again and I will be buying one for my little nephew too 🙂

Price : $4.46 (AED 16.38) for a pack containing 213 gms.

4) Exfoliating Serum by Mad Hippie Skincare : I came across the brand Mad Hippie by chance on iHerb one day. When I searched more about it, the more I understood that they incorporate really potent active ingredients into their skincare line. Even their motto is “Advanced skincare”. Usually brands incorporate one or two active ingredients in their products. But this particular serum contains a stunning number of 16 actives!. I love serum like nothing else. They are powerful and penetrate into the deeper layers of our skin. Once I try this product out properly, I will post a detailed review about it.

IMG_1358

Price : $27.99 (AED 102.81)

5) Traditional Italian Risotto by Lundberg : I love risotto and though I don’t know how to make it, I have had it several times in hotels. So, when I saw an option to make it at home easily out of a packet, I went for it :). I love mushrooms. So I went for the Porcini Mushroom option.

Lundberg1

Inside the box, there were two packets. One containing Italian Arborio rice (1/4 cup) and the other containing seasoning and pieces of Porcini mushroom. All you got to do is sauté the rice in 1/2 tbsp. olive oil, then add 2.5 cups of water and mix the seasoning in it. Once it boils, reduce heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for 20 minutes. It’s ready to serve!. It’s that easy.

Lundberg2

The result was quite good. In between the cook, I tasted it and felt it needed more salt. Adding it at that time meant it really got absorbed by the rice. The final product tasted good. I got to say though that in the seasoning, there is butter and dried onion among other ingredients. It tasted a bit too strongly of those two. Once prepared, it amounts to 1 cup of risotto. I couldn’t finish it one go, since I felt it to be pretty heavy. I kept it covered in the fridge and reheated it the next day. I felt it tasted better the next day!. I do recommend this easy and convenient product.

Price : $3.43 (AED 12.60)

6) Dark Chocolate Fusion by The Tea Room : Once I read the concept of this brand, I fell in love with it. The makers of this brand love tea and chocolate. So, they decided to infuse tea into chocolate!. What a novel idea!. Each bar of chocolate contains 1 cup of tea in it. They have infused different types of teas into dark chocolates containing varying degrees of cacao in it.

I bought two bars. First one is Dark Chocolate Fusion with Mate & Cacao nibs, which contains 72% cacao from Europe, organic yerba mate tea from South America, and organic cacao nibs from Ecuador. It tastes very smooth and nice. I have never tasted yerba mate tea. So, I guess the foreign taste it has is of the tea. There are minute pieces of cacao nibs in it which contributes towards the rich and intense experience, that is having this bar of chocolate.

The second bar is Dark Chocolate Fusion with Raspberry Rooibos, which contains 60% cacao from Europe, and organic red raspberry rooibos tea from South Africa. OMG!. This one is absolutely delicious. I love the intense berry taste of this one.

TeaRoom

Overall, the dark chocolate is tasty and so smooth. The bars are covered in a wrap. As soon as you open it, the smell is really inviting. iHerb takes care not to ship out chocolates in hot months. My bars were soft when it arrived. I popped it immediately in the fridge. As you can see, my bars have maintained their structure.

I highly recommend this brand and eventually I hope to try out their other great flavors like Black Masala Chai from India and Lapsang Souchong tea from Fujian in future.

Price : $2.99 (AED 10.98) for each bar, containing 1.8 oz (51 gms)

7) E.L.F Clarifying Pressed powder in Spice : This pressed powder is quite OK. When you apply it, immediately the lack of quality can be felt. The formulation isn’t really great. But when you pay less, that’s all you should expect!. Positives are many though. It’s perfect for someone who is just beginning to collect makeup and is looking for budget friendly options. It takes away any oily sheen on the skin and really mattifies. It also gives a natural look to the face. It’s coverage is low. So, it’s definitely not for someone who even expects medium coverage. For the amount paid, it’s definitely OK and perfect to carry in your purse for touch ups.

ElfClarifyingpdr

It comes in cute and handy compact, with a white powder puff. I got it in the color Spice. There are a variety of shades and Spice is color just below the darkest one which is Toffee.

Price : $1.99 (AED 7.31).

Discount received

During the month of October, there was a promotion going on whereby if your order is over $40, you get a 10% discount. So, I got a discount of $10.67 (AED 39.19)!. I got a cute little notepad and pencil too in my package.

IMG_1361

iHerb always has some promotion or the other going on in addition to the discounts they give on each product. I just love this site!. You can save so much, while doing your normal shopping.

Shipping

The shipping cost was $13.74 (AED 50.47). This time my order took two days to process and less than two days to reach my doorstep in UAE, from US. I love DHL and I am so glad iHerb has teamed up with them. They move so fast!

Overall, I am love with the things I bought this time. Once again, I highly suggest this site to you. They ship worldwide, ultra fast.

iHerb haul #3 – the ‘Cure all’ oil!

Hey guys!

I am back with another iHerb haul!. I am in LOVE with that site ♥. Recently, a good friend of mine, Abidha of Abidha Ayyoob’s blog, told me how beneficial the black seed oil is. I was quite intrigued and did some research on it. One of the main things that caught my eye everywhere is this:

“Hold on to the use of the black seed for indeed it has a remedy for every disease except death.” – Prophet Muhammad (S)

Wow!!. How amazing is that?. So many years ago itself, it was considered to be so beneficial and a cure all!. There are many seeds that go by the name of black seed but the one that is being discussed here today, the one which has all the great properties, is the black cumin seed – particularly Nigella Sativa. In Arabic cultures, black cumin is known as Habbatul barakah, meaning the “seed of blessing.” You can even find cheap black cumin seed oil in local supermarkets here but let me tell you, that’s not the original stuff!. Research well before you buy!

It is great for your skin, your health, your hair, for weight loss and is said to even cure diabetes or cancer in the first stages!. I decided to give it a try and searched around for it. I found a local dealer here in UAE who was into selling this oil from the brand Sweet Sunnah. I asked the price for three bottles (each 16oz/approx 473ml) and he quoted me AED 540 (AED180 per bottle) plus AED10 delivery charge to my home. That’s AED550 for roughly 1.5 litres!. I searched online and found that a 16oz bottle of Sweet Sunnah is priced only approx AED91!. So the dealer here was charging me double for each bottle!. I definitely didn’t want to buy from him!.

I then searched on Amazon and found really great prices. I was fixated on the brand Sweet Sunnah but then I found another brand called Amazing Herbs. It was priced $13.96 (AED51.28) for a 4oz (240ml) bottle. So 6 such bottles (total of approx 1.5 litres) will cost me $83.76 (AED307.66) plus shipping. I was excited!. But that’s when I found out something else. Amazon doesn’t ship that product to UAE :(. That’s one of the worst things about Amazon. Not everything you see there can be shipped to UAE. Need help with ordering on Amazon and knowing how to understand what products are OK to be shipped to UAE?. Click here!

That’s when I thought.. “Wait a minute!. Everything I see on iHerb can be shipped to UAE and they are all about healthy products. So definitely the black seed oil should be listed there!”. I immediately checked there and yes! I found the exact same product there :). Click here to check out the product.

However, there was a rate difference. Usually, when I have compared iHerb to Amazon, the price has always been lower on iHerb but this time it wasn’t. A 4oz (240ml) bottle of black seed oil from Amazing Herbs, cost $19.49, which is $5.53 more than the rate on Amazon… Ugh!. What a bummer!. However, I was adamant that I wanted this oil. So I decided to buy anyways and added them to my cart. The total was $116.94 (AED429.53). However, since my bill total is more than $60, I received a 5% off :D. The amount came down to $111.09 (AED408.04)!. The shipping was $11.52 (AED42.31). So grand total of AED450.35!. Just imagine if I had just bought from the local dealer here, I would have paid AED550 for the same amount of product!. That’s AED100 more!. Whoa!. So yes, I got a great deal from iHerb ♥

On to the pix!

Blog pix 029That’s how it was packed into a cardboard box. Very neatly packed!

Blog pix 031They carefully packed two bottles each in a ziplock bag.

I bought 6 bottles by the way, so that I can give two to my father, two to my brother and keep two for myself!. My father has been a diabetic patient for a long time. So I thought I will let him try it out. He said for a while his sugar levels seemed under control. He was also taking the diabetic herbal tea I got for him from iHerb itself, at that time. Of late, he hasn’t been taking it regularly. So I can’t really say how his sugar levels are right now. I even read somewhere that the black seed oil is a natural alternative for the medicine named Metformin, which diabetic patients take. But, don’t quote me on that as obviously I am not a doctor!

I bought for my brother so that he can maintain a healthy body. I bought for myself for the same reason too. Also, I read that it helps regularize periods and I totally agree!. I had a hormonal imbalance which caused irregular periods. It’s regularized now!. OMG.. This is TMI but hey got to discuss it all in an honest review yeah?.

I lost two kilos too while taking this. I been taking it since April this year. It really works!. I still haven’t tried it on my hair though. I usually take 1 tbsp of it right in the morning on empty stomach. It is a golden yellow colored. It has a very strong, pungent flavor and there is an after taste that can stay on for a long time. You can take it in capsule form too if you cannot stand the thought of having oil directly. However, the unrefined oil is said to be at least 2.5 times more powerful than having them in capsule form. When you have 1 tbsp honey with this oil, it enhances the healing properties of the oil.

What I love the most about Amazing Herbs is that it says right on the bottle that it contains only 100% freshly cold-pressed and unrefined virgin black cumin (Nigella Sativa) oil from organic sources!. No preservatives, solvent or alcohol in it. I highly recommend this brand. When you open the black cap, it’s sealed inside too, so you don’t have to worry about any spilling at all during transportation!.

Blog pix 033

Blog pix 034

Let me make it clear to you that it’s not just Muslims who use this oil for it’s benefits!. Everyone from all religions and parts of this world uses it, as is evident by all the customer reviews on iHerb for this product!

I will tell you this, if you have some trouble like say asthma, cold and flu, joint pains or anything at all like that that bothers you on a regular basis, search on Google as to how black cumin seed oil can heal that and you will find a remedy!. Even if you are the most healthiest person and has no illness at all, you can still take this to maintain that level of health.

Shipping

The shipping cost was $11.52 (AED 42.31) as I said before. I chose the DHL option and it was here in UAE at my doorstep, from US in less than 2 days!!. It’s amazing how fast they ship!.

I LOVE iHerb!. What a fantastic site ♥

Recently, Sally of Canadian Sassy Sally, bought some products from iHerb after I suggested it to her and this is what she had to say about how fast the shipping was : “wowwwwwwwwww INSANE!!!

That’s how fast iHerb ships!. I highly suggest you try it out and when you use my code SCZ695 at checkout you can get upto $10 off on your very first order!
